Terms of Service — Adorningshop

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Adorningshop.com ("Adorning", "the Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users, including clients and beauticians.

2. Description of Service

Adorningshop is an online marketplace that connects clients with independent beauty service providers ("beauticians"). We provide the technology platform only — we are not a beauty service company and do not employ beauticians. All services are provided by independent contractors.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Adorningshop. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must provide accurate and truthful information when creating your account.
You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or restrictions.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Bookings & Payments

Bookings are confirmed only after successful payment processing through Stripe.
Adorningshop charges an 8% platform fee on each transaction. Beauticians receive 92% of the service price.
Prices listed by beauticians are in US Dollars (USD).
Payment is collected at the time of booking, not at the time of service.
Beauticians are responsible for ensuring their listed prices are accurate.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

Refund eligibility is determined by the beautician's cancellation policy, which is set on their profile:

Flexible: Full refund if cancelled more than 24 hours before the appointment.
Moderate: Full refund if cancelled more than 72 hours before. 50% refund within 72 hours.
Strict: No refund once booking is confirmed.

If a beautician cancels a confirmed booking, the client receives a full refund regardless of policy. Refunds are processed through Stripe and may take 5–10 business days to appear.

7. Beautician Responsibilities

By registering as a beautician, you agree to:

Provide services as described in your listings accurately and professionally.
Honor confirmed bookings or cancel with reasonable notice.
Maintain any required licenses, certifications, or permits for your services.
Comply with all applicable health and safety regulations.
Connect a valid Stripe Express account to receive payouts.
Accurately represent your skills, experience, and portfolio.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
Attempt to circumvent the platform by arranging payments outside of Adorningshop.
Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights.
Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the platform.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems.

9. Reviews

Reviews must be honest and based on actual experiences. We reserve the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, or violate these terms. Offering incentives for positive reviews is prohibited.

10. Intellectual Property

The Adorningshop name, logo, and platform design are owned by Adorningshop and may not be used without our written permission. By uploading photos or content to the platform, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display that content on Adorningshop for the purpose of operating the platform.

11. Disputes Between Users

Adorningshop is not responsible for resolving disputes between clients and beauticians, but we provide a dispute process to assist. If you experience an issue with a booking, contact us at support@adorningshop.com. We reserve the right to make final decisions on disputed funds at our sole discretion.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adorningshop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to damages from service quality, personal injury during a service, or loss of data. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that beauticians will fulfill their bookings. We do not endorse or verify the quality of any beautician listed on the platform.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the applicable courts of the United States.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of Adorningshop after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
